Decent selection for cookies...cakes are not worth the price, in my opinion. Good to stop for little treat every now and then for sure...service is good, clean bathroom. I would definitely recommend if you are new to the area and looking for bakery with good selection.

What a nice place! Gianpiero is the sort of old school Italian bakery that people always look for but rarely find. Clearly a popular place (every seat was taken when I was there) and with good reason. The bread has actual substance and the pastries are a delight. Moreover, the people who work there are genuinely nice. Absolutely worth a visit!

Finally a place where I can find the Italian bread that I miss from my country (Italy)!!!... It is not exactly the same but at least it is not sweet and fat like most of the American bread I tasted in NY. It is also very affordable! I just wish they could cut the bread in thinner slice. They can cut it just in big slices. They don't have a different option. I also bought 3 biscotti cantucci. They were fresh, soft and really good! But... knowing they are made with cheap ingredients and easy to prepare, I think that $4 for 3 biscotti is a little overpriced.. I will definitely go back to buy the bread again.

Lovely homely feeling in this bakery cafe. I saw this place in an episode of 'Baked' on the Food Network channel, it shows how the rainbow cookies are made. We enjoyed the goats cheese and spinach tart, and the feta and spinach pastry, followed by chocolate cheesecake which had a hint of mint, topped with a little slice of Rainbow cookie. The coffee was excellent. Good service, big selection of baked goods and reasonable prices. I didn't try any but the breads look superb.
